About the writer

Kate Thornton is a Canadian writer drawn to stories, history, and the people who give both their meaning.

Through Fictional Theories, she explores how imagined worlds reflect human experience—and why certain characters stay with us long after a story ends. She is also developing Scotland: Forged in the Fire — The Creation of Alba, a writing and research project exploring Scotland's beginnings.
